Very few companies have been able to produce games with long-term success on Android or iOS. Supercell, the creators of Clash of Clans and Boom Beach, is one of the very few companies that can create hit after hit. Its most recent release, Clash Royale, which is won an Editor’s Choice award from the App Store and the Play Store, just released an update making it more fun than ever.
I’ve been a fan of Supercell’s from the day Clash of Clans was released, but have never had as much fun as two player battle mode in Clash Royale. Clash Royale uses many of the same characters from Clash of Clans, but instead of building a home base to produce troops, you create a deck of eight cards to battle against other players from around the globe. Take out your opponents towers or castle using your combination of troops and you win. The latest update to Clash Royale pairs two of the same clan mates up against a pair of different players making it more fun than ever. Not only do you need to understand how your own troops perform, but you’ll need to have a good idea of what your partner is using too in order to take advantage of their skills.
Clash Royale is free to play and comes free of ads making it a game I come back to almost everyday for as little as three minutes, up to one hour per session. The game is supported by in-app purchases but aren’t required to have fun or to make the most of the game since you are placed against people in your skill class.
