There are millions of free games to download in the Google Play Store and App Store. There are so many apps to choose from that finding the right games to play becomes a game in itself; download, install, try the app for a few minutes, and delete. When you find a good game, you actually feel like a winner since more games are a waste of time and are over loaded with in-app purchases. Very few apps survive the first pass and that’s why we are here to help you sort out which apps are actually worth your time.
If you love games that are fun to play for five or thirty minutes at a time, without requiring much finger dexterity, we think you should try Ballz. It’s free to download for Android and iOS with minimal ads to distract you from the game.
It’s a game that is as simple as breaking bricks with balls. You launch a ball, it bounces around the screen, and with every bounce off of a brick it removes one point from it. So if a brick has a 10 listed on it, you need to hit it 10 times before it is eliminated. Launch your ball at a steep angle and it will return to the bottom of the screen at a steep angle and will eliminate your turn. With every turn, the bricks increase and drop a line, and when the bricks reach the bottom of the screen, the game is over. You don’t end the game by eliminating all of the bricks, you just make it easier on yourself for the subsequent level as there are less bricks to break. Everyone can play the game, but very few can get to high levels. In my week of playing, the best I could muster is 54 levels which took half an hour to achieve. Every time I played Ballz, I found it to be as fun as the first time I tried it.
The game is very entertaining and is even more fun when you compete with someone you know. Advertisements are kept to a bare minimum, but can be completely eliminated if you pay $1.99 within the app. If you only have five minutes to spare, Ballz is fun to play as you can squeeze in a couple of levels and come back to it later. It’s also fun if you have more time since it is addictive and can be played for several hours if you’re on a roll. It’s the same experience on Android and iOS and is one of the better games I’ve tried in recent memory.
