Get a free Chromecast by signing up for Google’s YouTube TV

The battle for your money just got bigger when it comes to streaming live TV as Google’s YouTube TV recently went live a couple of days ago. Similar to Playstation Vue, Sling TV and DirecTV Now, YouTube TV is a streaming TV service that is aimed at cord-cutters who no longer want to pay for traditional cable plans. For $35 a month Google is offering 40 channels of live TV service; major networks include NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox and ESPN with add-ons available from Showtime and Fox Soccer Plus. Similar to cable service, your shows will include commercials.

Google is offering a free 30-day trial as well as a free Chromecast for new users for a limited time. Where YouTube TV differs from the other live TV services is it allows up to six users and there is unlimited DVR space too. However, only three users can be streaming at the same time. Devices that run Android L, iOS 9.1 and Chrome can all stream YouTube TV in addition to Google’s $35 Chromecast. You’ll be able to redeem your free Chromecast after your free 30-day trial has ended and you’ve made your first payment.
