Huawei doesn’t think the smartwatch is dead: Get the all new Huawei Watch 2 now

The smartwatch is not dead no matter how many want to claim otherwise. Sure, it isn’t a smartphone replacement, nor is it essential for everyone, but it is still a relatively new device that is still finding its way.

Huawei, the Chinese manufacturer behind the wildly popular Nexus 6P and Honor smartphone lineup, now has its second generation smartwatch, the Huawei Watch 2, available in retailers now. Huawei’s standard variant, the Carbon Black and Concrete Grey Huawei Watch 2, is available with a starting price of $300 from Best Buy, Amazon, NewEgg, Walmart and B&H Photo. For those who want a little more formal look, Huawei also has the Watch 2 in a metal case with a leather-rubber hybrid material for $370.

The Watch 2 runs Google’s latest wearable software, Android Wear 2.0, and offers LTE connectivity for those who want to leave their smartphones at home (international models only). Live GPS mapping, heart-rate monitoring, activity tracking, NFC payments and offline music storage are all standard across all Watch 2 smartwatches. For a limited time, Huawei is offering a free 10-week subscription to Google Play Music for new subscribers.
