It’s no secret that college can be expensive — on top of the ever-increasing cost of room and board, textbooks, and tuition, students also need to budget for things like food, appliances, supplies, and dues for campus involvements. Luckily, many companies offer discounts and deals specifically for college students. Cut down the cost of your education by taking advantage of them!
1. Amazon
Amazon offers a great discount program for students called Prime Student. Eligible students get six months worth of free Prime Membership, which includes fast and free two-day shipping, access to tons of promotions and sales, instant video streaming, and more. After six months, your membership will continue at a 50% discount — $49 per year.
Amazon also has a referral program where you’ll get $10 for every friend who joins Prime Student.
2. Spotify
Does music sound better when it’s 50% off? You bet. Spotify offers students half off for a Premium membership, cutting the price from $9.99 to $4.99. It includes zero advertisements, instant playback, offline downloads and unlimited skips. Check it out here.
3. Apple
Apple offers student discounts through the Apple Store for Education. You can save up to$300 on a new Mac and $20 on a new iPad, and get Apple Music for $4.99 a month and the Pro Apps Bundle for $199.99. You’ll also get a free pair of Beats headphones with any eligible purchase. As noted in the fine print, this discount is available to current college students, newly accepted college students, parents buying for college students, and faculty, staff, and homeschool teachers of all grade levels. There is also a limit on how many products you can buy per year using the student discount: one desktop, one Mac mini, one notebook, and three iPads.
4. Microsoft
Microsoft Education offers a few student discounts, like 10% off Windows devices and a discounted 4-year subscription to Office 365 University, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher and Access. There’s also a helpful resource page for college students with tools, templates, tutorials, and other tips.
5. T-Mobile
T-Mobile offers student discounts that can help you save $60 on smartphones and 20% off select accessories. U.S. college students, K-12 staff and college staff are all eligible. However, because it offers flat discounts on phones, T-Mobile does not offer regular monthly plan discounts. But, they do offer plans for International students. These deals are only available over the phone, so be sure to call the number on the website.

AT&T offers student discounts that vary, so you can find out what you’re eligible for by entering your school e-mail address. It includes wireless services, devices, and more.
7. Dell
Dell University offers many student discounts that vary by university. These student exclusive deals apply to a wide range of laptops, desktops, and accessories. Students also can earn up to 6% back in rewards, free expedited delivery, and a 30-day Price Match Guarantee. Simply put in the name of your college or university to see how much you can save.
8. Best Buy
Best Buy has a program called College Student Deals, which is a rewards program that will send coupon codes to your school e-mail. Students and their parents can save $100 on select Macbooks and iMacs, $125 on other computers, and 10% select new Surface devices by signing up.
9. Lenovo
Lenovo’s Academic Purchase Program helps students and faculty purchase discounted laptops, tablets, and desktops. These deals vary by school, but all you have to do is visit their website to see which discounts you’re eligible for. These special offers change frequently, so be sure to visit the site often.
10. Adobe
Sometimes being creative may come at a cost. Luckily, Adobe offers student discounts on its Creative Cloud package, which is a membership that gives you access to all of Adobe’s photography, design, video and web apps on all your desktop and mobile devices. Instead of the full price of $49.99 a month, you can save 60% by paying just $19.99 a month.
