There’s no shortage of accessories when it comes to the iPhone. It’s the most popular premium phone in the world and accessory makers understand iPhone users have premium taste. I use the iPhone 7 in Jet Black, and in order to prevent scratching it (because it’s highly scratchable), I went looking for a premium leather case. I like the look of leather, especially on my iPhone 7 because I want to maintain the look of the gorgeous design. I picked up the iPhone 7 Jisoncase genuine leather slim fit case and think it’s worth letting you know what I think about it.

The Jisoncase genuine leather slim fit case is as the name states. It’s a genuine leather case and is slim fitting similar to the OEM Apple case. However it’s just a fraction of the price at $15.99 on Amazon. The OEM Apple leather case sells for $45 and never goes on sale. The Jisoncase is made of real leather that is wrapped around a plastic slim fit case making it one of the lightest options available. It comes in a variety of colors: Black, Midnight Blue, Saddle Brown and Red and is available in both sizes of the current iPhone series.
If you’re familiar with the OEM Apple case, and like its design, you’ll like the genuine leather case from Jisoncase. I grabbed the Saddle Brown option since I look the look of real natural leather and that’s exactly what I got.

It actually feels as nice as it looks. It provides a leather texture that is far more grippable than the smooth and slippery feeling the iPhone glossy back offers. Since the case is slim fitting, it also maintains the ease of using the phone one-handed. In my use case, it makes the phone easier to hold because it does add the extra grip.
Overall the fit of the case is very good. It wraps around the corners and sides while leaving slots open for the speaker, charging port and camera. I have been pleasantly surprised at how well Jisoncase made this product and have full confidence in choosing them as my next cover for my iPhone 8.
Overall: Should you get the Jisoncase genuine leather case?
Putting the price aside, I can’t really come up with any downsides to the Jisoncase genuine leather case. Factoring in the price I find it to be an incredible deal when it is compared to the OEM Apple iPhone leather case. It costs three times less and offers the same protection and looks and feels great too.
Going case free on the Jet Black iPhone, or any iPhone for that matter is risky. If you drop your phone it can easily cost over $100 to repair. With the Jisoncase you can maintain the premium look of your iPhone 7 and add protection at a fraction of the price.
