The iPhone X is hands-down the best iPhone yet. I was skeptical at first because Apple took away many of the features that I love, but I’ve changed my mind since the X has come out. Apple is what I consider a luxury brand and it shows with its most premium phone to date. The OLED screen is seriously beautiful and it’s amazing that the iPhone X is only slightly larger than the iPhone 8 with a bigger screen than the iPhone 8 Plus. The decision to switch the back to a glass back is convenient for wireless charging, but it doesn’t inspire much confidence in terms of durability. In fact, Ars Technica performed a drop test and concluded that the iPhone X is “the most breakable iPhone”. If you don’t feel like dropping $279 on a new screen, invest in a case. I know many people who like to buy the cheapest case possible to protect their phone. I used to be in that party, but as I’ve gotten older I don’t mind spending extra for a premium case. The iPhone X is luxurious in every aspect. The build quality is premium along with a premium OLED screen. Of course, Apple thought it would be a great idea to make this the most fragile iPhone yet. It would be a shame to cover this beautiful phone with a cheap, plastic case. Do you buy a Ferrari and fill it up with the cheapest, lowest quality gas? Probably not. Some things are worth spending extra money on, especially if its going to protect a $1000 phone. Think about it this way, $50-100 dollars is a hell of a lot cheaper than replacing the screen for $280.
