The wait is finally over for Amazon Prime customers. Amazon Prime Video will finally be available on Apple TV. CEO Tim Cook has made good on his promise from six months ago stating that the Amazon Prime Video app will be on Apple TV sometime in 2017. This means you can watch popular Amazon Exclusives such as Mr. Robot, The Wire, or Suits from your Apple TV.
Amazon has its own popular streaming device, Fire TV and does not currently sell the Apple TV on its website. According to TechCrunch, CEO Jeff Bezos mentioned that he wants the Prime Video player to be on the Apple TV, otherwise Amazon doesn’t want to sell Apple TVs to its customers. Hopefully, this move may change the mind of Jeff Bezos and we might find Apple TVs back on sale at Amazon.
This is the last popular video streaming service that was unavailable on the Apple TV. That being said, if you are an Amazon Prime customer and need a new show to binge watch, go check out Mr. Robot. You’ll be hacking the mainframe in no time.
