Top 10: Tech gear to help you reach your fitness goals

2018 is just around the corner. I can’t believe how fast 2017 has gone by. Late December is around the time where people start making resolutions to become a better person. My big resolution was to learn the basics of computer programming, which I successfully accomplished. If anyone is looking for someone who can make print “Hello, World!” to the screen, I’m your guy! All jokes aside, many resolutions focus on the way you look. Whether it is losing weight or putting on some muscle, fitness resolutions are always high up on the resolution list. There are a ton of great tech gear out there to help you achieve your fitness goals. Here some of our favorite fitness tech.

1. Apple Watch Series 3: $329 (GPS) $399 (GPS + LTE)

The Apple Watch recently overtook Rolex to become the most popular watch in the world. The Apple Watch Series 3 got even better with the addition of cellular capability. This means you can stream music and and answer texts even if you leave your iPhone at home. The Apple Watch is perfect for the gym or even swimming because it is resistant up to 50 feet.

2. SENSO Bluetooth Headphones: $29.97

Wireless headphones are a must in the gym. Have you ever tried squatting with wired headphones only to have them get tangled up on the barbell and choke the life out of you? It’s not fun. If you’re looking for solid wireless headphones and don’t want to pay the Beats premium, Senso Bluetooth headphones are where it’s at. 3. Sony 1000XM2 Wireless Noise-Cancelling Headphones: $299

I don’t understand why people wear over the ear headphones to the gym, but I see it everywhere. Maybe they need the highest quality music to get them in the zone before a heavy lift or long cardio session. If you’re in this group, you can’t beat the Sony 1000XM2 wireless headphones. These bad boys boast a battery life up to 30 hours. If you’re in a bind and low on battery, you can get 70 minutes of play time in only 10 minute charge.

4. Smart Body Fat Scale by Weight Gurus $49.99

Abs are made in the kitchen. Diets are the most difficult aspect of losing or gaining weight. There is not better way to measure progress than tracking weight changes daily. 6. Tribe Water Resistant Cell Phone Armband: $11.98

I don’t know why gym shorts were ever created without pockets, but they exist. It’s a problem for women who wear leggings that don’t have the cool pockets that I see on Lululemon leggings. The cell phone armband is the perfect solution for no pockets and it can fit just about any phone that isn’t plus sized.

7. Motiv Ring: $199.00

The Motiv Ring is the perfect combination of form, fit, and function. The Motiv Ring is one of the smallest fitness trackers available and it doesn’t sacrifice functionality for size. Not to mention, it’s comfortable and very stylish. The Motiv App syncs wirelessly and tracks activity, heart rate, and sleep data without the bulkiness of something on your wrist.

8. POWERDOT Wireless Muscle Stimulator: $249.00

The Powerdot uses Electronic Muscle Stimulation (EMS) to activate your muscle fibers so you can get stronger and recover faster. By sending electronic pulses to your muscles, you can benefit from increased muscle strength, endurance, and lowered recovery time between workouts.
