If you love Star Wars (who doesn’t?) and you have an iPhone X there’s a case you need to get for your phone. It’s the limited edition HEX Star Wars Storm Trooper wallet case and it’s pretty darn sweet. The Last Jedi is one of my favorite Star Wars movies of all time, and coincidentally my favorite iPhone of all time is now the X. Pairing the two together not only makes sense from a fan’s perspective, but they also make sense in that HEX’s offering is really freaking nice.
The HEX Storm Trooper Wallet case is quite premium considering it’s made from genuine leather. It comes embossed with a silhouette of a Storm Trooper’s mask on the front with a couple of Star Wars logos on the front and inside of the case. The leather itself is white and textured for added comfort. There’s a series of HEX Star Wars cases for iPhone X, 8 and 8 Plus with R2D2, Boba Fett, the X-Wing, and Darth Vader at Hexbrand.com for those of you who want a different color or Star Wars icon. I chose the white leather Storm Trooper Wallet case because I thought it looked the best of the bunch, although your choice will probably differ.
The inside flap of the front cover is where you’ll find a neat addition to the case, a wallet. It has three slots for three cards ( you can jam in an extra two if needed), with an additional pocket for those of you who still use cash. Having a wallet cover is a great combination because it allows me to leave my regular wallet at home and it also protects the entirety of the iPhone X. For those of you who own an iPhone X, one of your biggest fears is damaging it since it costs over $1000. The front cover keeps the front glass protected from keys, coins and other hard objects that reside in your pocket, purse, laptop bag or backpack and prevents scratches on that gorgeous display.
There’s also a hard internal frame that houses the iPhone X to protect it from drops, and when it’s combined with the leather it actually makes for quite a protective combination without adding excess bulk. There’s also a strap that can wrap around the front cover to prevent it from opening when it’s not in use. This feature, while seemingly unnecessary, is very useful in keeping the display protected in the event of a fall where the flap could open and expose the display.
The case falls into the premium category with its $59.95 price tag, but considering the quality of the case alone it’s well worth the money. The protection, solid looks, and utility of the HEX wallet case are enough to convince me it’s a solid option, but when you throw in the Storm Trooper embossing on the front, it’s too good to pass up for this Star Wars fan.
