Amazon quietly launches a new program that allows you to try on clothing without being charged

As malls close their doors around the country, Amazon continues to add value where others are failing. An Amazon Prime membership has just gotten more valuable. Beyond free music, books, TV shows, oh and free two-day shipping, Amazon is now offering a new program to select customers called Prime Wardrobe.  Prime Wardrobe is Amazon’s way of selling more clothes and shoes to you without making you shell out dough if you don’t like the way they look or fit.

How does Prime Wardrobe work?

You must Prime member (annual cost $99) and you need an invitation to join. If you want your own invitation, click here to go to the Prime Wardrobe homepage.

You then select three or more items (up to eight) to have shipped to you. Once they arrive you get seven days to try them on to decide if you like them or not. If you don’t like the items, simply pack them up in the packaging they arrived in, slap on the included return label, and drop the box or package at a UPS shipping location. Keep what you like and get charged once the seven day grace period has expired. For a limited time, Amazon is even giving you $20 off your orders of $200 or more. Most importantly, all returns don’t include shipping charges.

Not all clothing and shoes are included as there are a wide variety of third-party sellers who aren’t included in the program.

This program isn’t designed to allow you to use the clothes, accessories or shoes, it’s simply here to ensure you like what you see online. If you wear the items outside of simply trying them on, and then return them, Amazon reserves the right to charge you the full amount even if you send them back.
